I attribute the details of my work to a desire that my sculptures have a presence of life. I want my vision of a romantic and mysterious world to be told in intimate moments captured in clay with just a breath of life in them, so the viewers mind can roam freely.

My intricately carved mysterious feminine creatures are hand built from ceramic clay, fired with pigments , then finished with  rich colors mixed media stains and inks then finished with color pencils to create the illustrated style I am recognized for.

My sculptures are inspired by an abandoned garden I have been resurrecting, from which I have impressed leaves into the clay. I tell my personal story through avian, aquatic, botanical, and insect elements, creating a piece that conveys “Life in the Details”. Believing there is more to life than just one moment, but showing that it is those moments that can be so deeply profound in a person’s life that the experience lingers.
